The entire game is just about how weak she is and how she need saving and "Oh, Chief" this, and "Give a girl a ride" that. Then in Halo 4 all of a sudden she's this fragile little woman who has the feels for the Chief and says a lot of pseudo-romantic shit constantly. When she's actually in her holographic form, she's just kind of awesome in general.Įven when you rescue her in Halo 3's "Cortana" mission, she's being tortured and shit and even though she's "broken", the Chief says just a few words of comfort and then it's right back to business. In all the other games she's just kind of a badass, whipping up kickass one-liners and saying cool shit all the time. I enjoyed the Campaign immensely, but this seriously watered down the experience for me.
